Would you like some tea? // Packaging

At Et cetera we love drinking tea, any kind of tea, black mint Corson, Light Kusmi Detox, Latte Chai, any tea, any time! In fact we feel that our kitchen belongs to the Mad Hatter of Wonderland with our dozen of tea boxes. We've purchased a new brand lately Clippers; particular varieties and tastes, from Acai, White Tea to Liquorice Detox.
But we are not here to talk about tea, are we?
In fact the fascinating part of Clippers is their colourful packaging with a game of typography. Attractive and light.
Unusual colour scheme from magenta, indigo to a mute grey
The small details
The harmonious resonance

Happy Wednesday! We are in the middle of the week, have a cup of tea like listening to the soothing Modest Mouse ( they too have a fierce musical corporate !)

Been there // done that

I know that most of you have been to La Croisette at Grand Baie during holidays, overcame by shopping spree and heat! Well did you notice some details?

We've told you; we love details! And I was like an alien snapping those:

Numbers! Perfectly aligned and beautifully executed

And did you notice this thoughtfully street art done nearby? Light and fluid gesture.

Hope that you like those little treasures.

Discover and share. :)

Colour communication // 2013

Artwork done by l'éffrontée

The world known Pantone elects each year; the colour of the year. The colour to be, and to scar tissue designers. 2012 was under the reign of Tangerine Tango; a warm  pop of orange whilst 2011 was under the mark of Honeysuckle, some lighthearted pink. For this year, Pantone did not choose a hue to pick up our moods like for the previous years. Even though we all need a good cheer up during economical crisis times. They took the other way round; instead of having a quick and delightfully moment similar to eating ice cream; pleasant but not lasting, they are giving us hope. Emerald. Not green, not that serious, not turquoise like in 2010, not that versatile. But Emerald. Full of hope, like vegetation yet sophisticated like the gem but most of all balance. Emerald, Colour of the Year 2013.

For Fun //

Hello! Happy Wednesday; we are already in the middle of the week. All those who resumed work this week, know how we are happy to have only 2 more working days!! Resuming is so hard; but we've doing something else than work, something else that made us smiled.Yesterday we've been blogging about Bwani Junction and there is one of their post about "train tickets". In fact they are kind of train tickets cracked up with humor that the band itself designed.

Bwani Junction Train Tickets!

Since they are busy with their album, they've asked if fans could design some for them.
So Peri and I did some stuff! Well they posted that request since July but since we've discovered them on Monday; we still hope that they'll use them!
Here are our stuff for Bwani Junction :)

L'éffrontée's train ticket
Hope that you like them.

Wake up and listen

So it all begun to be confusing when I wanted to check upon the blog after years and the blog address was a total blank to me. And I am really ashamed of that! Neither Peri nor me wished you Merry Christmas, nor Happy New Year, worse we did not give news at all! Total shame, so heartily we excused ourselves, we were burnt out yet we thought about the blog everyday!

So changes are:
1// We bought new materials, waiting for a laptop to be repaired during 6 months sucked!

2// We are changing the corporate of the blog sooooon

3// We are making this stuff way more personal, more design, more ourselves

4// We've discovered the young Scottish band Bwani Junction on Youtube  yesterday!

My Body, My Mind rocks, yet my fave is Civil War, and check them on Facebook : Bwani Function,
those guys are totally awesome.

5// Last but not least; Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, may it be fulfilled of unexpected ideas, serendipity, growth & achievements.

Have Fun
